Our revision guides are illustrated throughout. This page sets out where those images come from and the licences we hold for them.

Diagrams

Most diagrams on Phlo are created with BioRender.com, under a commercial licence that carries publication rights. The rest we draw ourselves.

Either way they are our own work, made for our own guides: the labelled figures in the revision guides, covering cell structures, organ cross-sections, biological pathways, graphs and the rest. None of them is taken from a textbook, an exam board or another website.

Photographs

Photographs are from Unsplash and are used under the Unsplash Licence, which permits commercial use.

Other material

Specification content, subject terminology and the structure of the courses come from the AQA specifications. Phlo is not affiliated with AQA, and no AQA exam paper, mark scheme or other copyright material is reproduced on this site.
